Calculator guide
Enter only cash actually received or paid during the selected period. Revenue earned but not collected and expenses recorded but not paid belong in accrual reporting, not this cash schedule.
Operating cash flow combines customer receipts with supplier, payroll, overhead, tax and other operating payments. Investing cash flow covers asset sales and purchases. Financing cash flow covers loans, owner funding, repayments and withdrawals.
The ending cash balance equals starting cash plus net cash flow. Reconcile it with bank balances and explain timing differences, transfers and restricted cash.
Create base, downside and upside scenarios. A profitable company can still run out of cash when receivables, inventory or debt payments consume liquidity.
Formula
Net cash flow = Operating cash flow + Investing cash flow + Financing cash flow; Ending cash = Starting cash + Net cash flow
