Calculator guide

Measure Amazon FBM profit per order

Enter item price and shipping charged, then add the category referral rate and selling-plan cost. Include product, postage, packaging, labor, advertising and other order-level expenses.

FBM shifts fulfillment responsibility to the seller. The result is only useful when postage, pick-and-pack labor, returns allowance and packaging are represented realistically.

The calculator separates Amazon fees from fulfillment costs so you can see which side of the order is reducing margin.

Use actual carrier invoices and Seller Central statements. Test higher shipping and ad-cost scenarios before changing price or shipping policy.

Formula

Measure Amazon FBM profit per order

Profit = item revenue + shipping charged − Amazon fees − seller fulfillment costs

  1. Calculate revenue from price plus shipping charged.
  2. Calculate referral fee and allocate the selling plan per unit.
  3. Add product, shipping, packaging, labor, advertising and other costs.
  4. Subtract all costs and divide profit by revenue for margin.

Frequently asked questions

Amazon FBM Profit Calculator FAQ

Should I replace the default rates?

Yes. Defaults are examples. Use the current rate and fixed fee from the marketplace, payment account or contract that applies to your country and transaction.

How accurate is the result?

The arithmetic follows the displayed formula. Accuracy depends on complete inputs, correct fee scope and consistent currency and reporting period.

Can I use another currency?

Yes. Keep every monetary input in the same currency. The calculator does not perform foreign-exchange conversion unless conversion is an explicit input.

Should taxes be included?

Follow the platform fee base and your accounting purpose. Some platforms calculate fees on tax or shipping; the guide and formula show the scope used here.

Why should I run more than one scenario?

Rates, advertising, shipping and refunds can change. A base case and a higher-cost case show how sensitive profit or payout is to those changes.

Is this an official calculator?

No. It is an independent planning tool. Confirm rates and final decisions with the linked official sources and your account statements.

Are my inputs uploaded?

No. Calculations run locally in the browser and do not require sending calculator inputs to a server.
