Calculator guide

Separate Stripe international payment costs

Enter the payment amount and your account base rate plus fixed fee. Switch international-card and currency-conversion additions on only when they apply to the transaction.

Stripe pricing varies by business country, payment method, card origin, settlement currency and custom agreement. Country defaults are starting assumptions, not universal rates.

The result displays base, international and conversion components separately so pricing and checkout decisions can be reviewed transparently.

Confirm rates on the Stripe pricing page for your country and reconcile estimates with Balance reports.

Formula

Separate Stripe international payment costs

Total fees = base percentage fee + fixed fee + international-card addition + currency-conversion addition

  1. Calculate the base percentage fee and add the fixed transaction fee.
  2. Apply the international-card rate when the card is non-domestic.
  3. Apply the conversion rate when settlement requires currency conversion.
  4. Subtract total fees from the payment amount.

Frequently asked questions

Stripe International Fee Calculator FAQ

Should I replace the default rates?

Yes. Defaults are examples. Use the current rate and fixed fee from the marketplace, payment account or contract that applies to your country and transaction.

How accurate is the result?

The arithmetic follows the displayed formula. Accuracy depends on complete inputs, correct fee scope and consistent currency and reporting period.

Can I use another currency?

Yes. Keep every monetary input in the same currency. The calculator does not perform foreign-exchange conversion unless conversion is an explicit input.

Should taxes be included?

Follow the platform fee base and your accounting purpose. Some platforms calculate fees on tax or shipping; the guide and formula show the scope used here.

Why should I run more than one scenario?

Rates, advertising, shipping and refunds can change. A base case and a higher-cost case show how sensitive profit or payout is to those changes.

Is this an official calculator?

No. It is an independent planning tool. Confirm rates and final decisions with the linked official sources and your account statements.

Are my inputs uploaded?

No. Calculations run locally in the browser and do not require sending calculator inputs to a server.
